Industrial Designer (Office Furniture)

Our Concord based client, an office furniture manufacturer, is looking for an Industrial Designer to support its growth. This role will lead their product design department. The ideal candidate has a passion for bringing creative and design oriented furniture solutions to life. If you want the freedom to pursue your passion for furniture design with the ability to spearhead product development initiatives than this is the perfect fit!

Responsibilities:
• Create and develop innovative and design oriented products for the office furniture market place.
• Work with industrial design software including Solidworks and AutoCAD (will support transition from other software)
• Utilize design for manufacturing methodology and work with the manufacturing team
• Create Bills of Materials and costing breakdowns
• An overall team player willing to help in all areas of the company

Qualifications:
• 2+ years in office furniture design
• 2+ years in either Casegoods, Benching, Upholstery or comparable product lines.
• Proficient with AutoCAD / Solidworks / 3D Modeling
